The Greater Downtown Action Plan (GDAP) provided a number of recommendations for the Riverlands District. A number of those preferences and recommendations were not reflected as significantly in what was the current Riverlands Area Redevelopment Plan. In order to enhance the vision and reflect the considerable public input and recommendations, a new area redevelopment plan was initiated.The Riverlands Area Redevelopment went to public consultation on March 29, 2011 and the Greater Downtown Action Plan provided a resolution to proceed to Council with the plan. The Riverlands ARP was adopted October 2011.
