Distribution Tariff - The City of Red Deer

The Distribution Tariff sets out charges for using The City of Red Deer's transmission and distribution system. There are three major components in our Distribution Tariff:

System Access Charge
Distribution Access Charge
Municipal Consent and Access Fee

The System Access Charge is the charge for using the provincial transmission system. This is a charge from the

Alberta Electric Systems Operator and is passed on to you.

The Distribution Access Charge is the charge for using The City's distribution facilities, including equipment cost and operating and maintenance costs.

The Municipal Consent and Access Fee is a franchise charge set by The City of Red Deer.
