The emergency call answer (9-1-1) and emergency agency dispatch services has been associated with The City of Red Deer and the Emergency Services Department since the early 1960’s.
Today, the Emergency Services Department, and the 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Centre employs trained professionals that are dedicated and strive to be the best. We continue to be a successful Regional 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Centre because of the 9-1-1 Emergency Dispatchers dedication and professionalism. Whether answering one of 55,000 annual 9-1-1 calls or dispatching one of 13,000 annual incidents, excellent service is provided. We utilize current technology and continue to pursue new technologies, such as Mobile CAD (computer aided dispatch) to assist all individuals and agencies we 9-1-1 call answer and dispatch for.
