Ambulance Invoice Information

The City of Red Deer Emergency Services provides emergency medical services for the city of Red Deer and surrounding area.

The following information may help if you are unclear about your ambulance invoice:
  • Alberta Health Care does not cover ambulance service.
  • We can direct bill to Alberta Blue Cross, Social Services and Health Canada. If you have active coverage at the time of the incident, please contact The City of Red Deer Financial Services at 342-8110 or 342-8203 with coverage information. Please note, Social Services and Health Canada will not pay for ambulance services that are the result of a motor vehicle accident.
  • If you were involved in a motor vehicle accident most insurance carriers require that you pay this bill then make your claim for reimbursement. If you are able to submit your invoice directly to your insurance carrier, please advise us as payment may be delayed and you will continue to be billed.
