Are we in your area
The Home Safety Program is a free service in which Red Deer Emergency Services personnel visit residences within the city offering a comprehensive fire and injury home safety check. Our aim is to visit 3,000 homes each year with a goal to visit every home in the city by 2015.

Including addressing fire and injury hazards in the home, free smoke alarms and batteries will be installed by RDES personnel where required. Smoke Alarms are a sound you can live with, but only if they're working. Don't wait for the Red Deer Emergency Services to come to your home. Test your smoke alarm today. See Smoke Alarms for more information.

Fire crews visit designated areas of the city between March and October of each year. Please click on the map to the right for areas where the program is currently being conducted. Some areas may take two or more years to complete.

See Home Safety Program - What to Expect for more information.
