Fire and Injury Prevention involves the prevention of fire related property loss and injury through public education, inspection, and enforcement of the Fire Code and investigation of fire incidents.

The Fire and Injury Prevention Bureau consists of six members and a Fire Marshal all trained as Safety Codes Officers in the discipline of Fire and Investigations with an emphasis on public education.
