Detention Ponds
Developers may be required to construct detention pond facilities in one or more locations in a development area. A detention pond may be located within the neighbourhood school or park site. These requirements are referred to in The City's Design Guidelines.

Stormwater must be managed in development areas to minimize the risk of flooding buildings. The City's Design Guidelines outline requirements and methods of stormwater management.
