Benefits of Bike & RideA regular ride will help to keep you in shape, as well as save you money on parking, gasoline, insurance and car maintenance. Biking and busing also reduce traffic congestion and preserve Red Deer's environment.Rules of the Road Cyclists are required to know and follow the rules of the road. It is illegal to ride a bicycle on a sidewalk in the downtown area unless it has been designated as a bikeway.
Buses make frequent stops along the road. Cyclists attempting to pass on the right as a bus pulls into a transit zone could end up on the curb, the boulevard or worse – under the wheels of the bus. Liability The City of Red Deer is not responsible for damages incurred or caused by bicycles on Red Deer Transit property.
