The Environmental Initiatives section has two main areas of responsibility:

  1. Administer The City of Red Deer's public environmental initiatives, including providing support to the Environmental Advisory Committee.
  2. Facilitate and coordinate corporate internal environmental initiatives within the corporate organization of The City of Red Deer

The City of Red Deer has an Environmental Master Plan, unanimously endorsed by City Council on April 18, 2011. Tell us how you want to get involved in implementing the Plan by emailing us at environmental.initiatives@reddeer.ca.

To submit an idea to Environmental Initiatives regarding environmental action in Red Deer, please complete the Submission to Environmental Initiatives form and forward it to the email or mailing address listed.
