Changes to the Work During the Tender Period

Contractor Queries
Any contractor requiring clarification of the Tender Documents should submit their queries in writing, either by fax or mail to the Engineer (usually the person named in the Invitation to Tender).

The Engineer will prepare and dispatch written replies to queries. The replies, together with the text of the queries, will be issued to all Contractors, usually on Addendum Forms, and without quoting the source of the query.

It is recommended that all queries be received by the Engineer a minimum of seven days before Tender closing to allow for timely investigation and reply to any query.

Addendums
An Addendum is a written instruction to all bidders that something in the original Tender Documents has been changed.

The Engineer will endeavour to ensure that all prospective bidders receive the addenda not less than four days before the Tender closing date.

Faxes
Faxed Tender Documents or Tender amendments will NOT be accepted from Bidders. As noted previously, written or faxed queries will be accepted from Contractors and replies from the Engineer will be faxed.
