Portable Signs
On March 13, City Council approved new portable sign regulations as part of the Land Use Bylaw. The new regulations require permits for all portable signs allowing The City to ensure streets, boulevards and laneways remain attractive, safe and uncluttered by too many portable signs.
The regulations will allow most businesses the ability to advertise with portable signs on their private property once they have obtained the appropriate sign permit from Inspections and Licensing.
To erect a portable sign, banner, or inflatable sign, business owners must apply for a sign permit with The City of Red Deer Inspections and Licensing department, located on the third floor of City Hall. The fee is $10/sq.m. with a minimum fee of $50.
