Building, Electrical & Mechanical Inspections
The City of Red DeerĀ
Inspections and Licensing Department
carries out regular inspections of work under all building, electrical and mechanical permits issued, to ensure that the work meets the standard of the Alberta Building Code. It is strongly recommended that you consult with our inspectors with regard to your building and mechanical plans.
Fire Inspection Requirements & Fire Pre-Plan Developments
The Fire Prevention Bureau section applies the Alberta Fire Code, which is defined as a set of maintenance and operational activity controls for buildings, in order to minimize the chance of fire and ensure there is a defined plan of action for occupants to follow if fire occurs. Fire pre-planning provides The City
Emergency Services Department
with necessary information of the premises in the event that a fire does occur.
For more information on fire inspections, contact the
Emergency Services Department
