(1) The committee consists of three members of Council.
(2) The committee will:
(a) review all applications received for Committees of Council;
(b) make recommendations to Council with respect to membership appointments to committees.
(c) develop procedures with respect to the following aspects related to Committee appointments:
(i) competency evaluation of applicants;
(ii) reference checks;
(iii) exit interviews; and
(iv) Committee Member evaluations.
(d) act in an advisory role to Council and the city administration on issues that may impact the operations of any of the committees of Council.
As the Nomination Review Committee is responsible for making recommendations for appointments to Council committees to Red Deer City Council, agendas and minutes are not published. Decisions of this Committee are approved by City of Red Deer Council and can be viewed in regular Council Minutes.
