Road Closures & Traffic Disruptions

During a major construction project, it may be necessary to close a road or a section of a road for any given period of time. Please refer to major projects for a complete list of current major road construction projects, along with details and information for motorists.

Motorists are reminded to slow down when approaching or driving in construction areas, watch for flying debris and obey all signs. Your patience and cooperation is greatly appreciated.

REASON:	Bridge inspection

2. 55 Street between 52 Street and 45 Avenue
Full closure on Sunday, May 20 from 7:45 a.m. until 8:30 a.m.
Right lane closed westbound from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.

3. 45 Avenue between 59 Street and McKenzie Trail
One lane traffic on Sunday, May 20 from 7:45 a.m. until 2 p.m.

4. Riverside Drive at north ramp to 67 Street
Traffic disruption for marathon crossing Riverside Drive on Sunday,
May 20 from 6:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Local Road Bans - put in place to prevent serious road damage during spring thaw.

This temporary ban will commence on April 5, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. and remain in effect until further notice as determined by Public Works.

The following roads will be designated as areas where trucks are allowed to carry up to a maximum percent, as shown below, of the vehicles axle weight allowance:
