Community Policing / Victim Services

Members of the Red Deer City RCMP are committed to making the community of Red Deer safe and healthy by providing a balanced approach to crime prevention including education and enforcement. Members of the Community Policing/Victim Services Unit at Red Deer City RCMP provide education to private businesses, the public, schools and interest groups on the prevention of crime in Red Deer. We provide leadership and referral to community driven initiatives and support our community and its needs. The members of the Crime Prevention/Victim Services Unit deliver the following programs in Red Deer and the surrounding area: Victim Services Citizens on Patrol (C.O.P.) Crime Stoppers Cop Cards Cops for Kids Auxiliary Program School Resource Officer Program Hot Cars Media Liaison Community Liaison Public Education / Program delivery on issues specific to Red Deer Red Deer City Detachment partners with many community associations and community service providers to build a web of enforcement and support services within the city of Red Deer. These community partnerships afford thousands of hours of volunteer commitment along with many thousands of dollars in financial support.
