RCMP Red Deer City Investigates Curfew Breach- Executes Search Warrant

Red Deer City RCMP attend and check a number of City residences where occupants are under Provincial Court ordered or charge related release conditions, with curfew restrictions.

Red Deer City RCMP Crime Reduction Team arrested a 21 year old Red Deer man on April 20th, 2010, in connection with a Curfew Breach that occurred on April 15th, 2010.

On April 20th, 2010 at approximately 2:30 p.m., Red Deer City RCMP Crime Reduction Team and Street Team executed a Judicially Authorized Search warrant on the residence located in the 4900 block of 55th Street.

Police located and seized:

  • a Bullet proof vest;
  • quantity of Cocaine;
  • quantity of prescription medication;
  • quantity of Alcohol;
  • Cellular telephone.

Brent CYR, 21 years old of Red Deer, was arrested and has been charged with:

  • three counts Breach of Release Recognizance, related to an investigation conducted by Calgary Police Service in October of 2009.

He was released on Bail and is set to appear in Red Deer Provincial Court on April 30th, 2010.
