Best Summer Ever: 2013

2013 is going to be the best summer ever, Red Deer! With free City of Red Deer events and concerts happening all summer long downtown on the Ross Street Patio and at Bower Ponds.  Plus the Centennial events and a host of other wonderful community events, there's something to keep you out in the sunshine every week all summer long.  To keep up to date on the Best Summer Ever series and other cultural event in Red Deer like us on facebook or follow us on twitter @RDbestsumerever

Weekly events happening every Wednesday (4:15 - 6:30 p.m.) and Thursday (11:45 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.) on the Ross Street Patio from June to September are presented through a partnership between The City and the Downtown Business Association.

The City of Red Deer Culture Services is doing an Open Call for performing and visual artists. See  Open Call and Application Form for more information.

Red Deer's own Oldbury and Half Chance Heros will be rocking out on the patio, a great way to start your weekend and enjoy the summer.  Grab your dancing shoes and come out to this free concert.

July 7 - Summer Sundays at Bower Ponds 
2 - 4 p.m., Bower Ponds stage
Free family-oriented concert featuring Canadian Children Entertainer Fred Penner. Remember him crawling through the log on CBC, or how about singing along to "Cat Came Back". Whether you remember him from your childhood or want to introduce him to your children this will be a great show.
