Darren Petersen
Darren Petersen is a professional glass artisan and has exhibited his work across North America. He received a BFA in glass from the Alberta College of Art & Design and is a regular series instructor at Red Deer College. He creates glass sculpture and venetian inspired vessels at his studio in Red Deer with his partner, Deborah Petersen.
"I am most interested in creating beautiful objects inspired by the beauty that surrounds me. Natural History is a primary influence upon the work that I do as is the tradition of glassmaking. My relationship with molten glass, the material I have chosen to study and work with, is very intimate."
