The many parks and green spaces in Red Deer help to bring us together in an outdoor community. In the Parks section, we offer programs and opportunities to encourage people to get outdoors and develop even stronger connections with the city we live in. We collaborate with other City departments, as well as provincial and national groups to offer you opportunities to get out and enjoy Red Deer.
Check out our links to learn how you can keep Red Deer green and clean through the Adopt a Park and Green Deer programs. Or, you can get growing with the City garden plots, which are available at three locations throughout Red Deer. We also provide information to help you learn more about environmental education and awareness for citizens, including wildfire management information for barbeque season. After all, we’re all part of a larger ecosystem, so let’s protect and share it with each other.
For more information on any of these programs or opportunities, please contact the Parks Section at 403-342-8234.
