Waskasoo Park is one of Red Deer’s key attractions for residents and visitors alike. Spanning the entire city, the park system has over 100 km of trails connecting a wide variety of green spaces, playgrounds, natural areas, and recreational opportunities.

The parks provide spaces for quiet retreats, spontaneous activities, and planned events. Check out the parks and trails map to locate a park near you or to see how your favourite playground fits into the overall Waskasoo Park system. If you’re planning a special activity or event, you may be interested in booking a park or facility; visit our Facility and Park Booking pages to learn more.

As you head outdoors to enjoy our beautiful city, remember that we all play a role in keeping our parks and green spaces beautiful and healthy. When you go into a park, please leave it better than you found it, and place all litter in the designated garbage bins. Also, keep in mind that the Waskasoo Park system is home to a variety of wildlife. Please enjoy all wildlife from a safe distance and allow them to remain wild by not feeding or approaching them.
