The City of Red Deer Recreation, Parks & Culture department is currently undergoing a review of our current subsidy programs and processes. Our goal is to increase awareness of the available programs and make recreation more accessible for everyone!
The CARE Program CARE provides funding for individuals or families residing in Red Deer who are unable to afford basic registration or activity fees for recreation/culture programs. The program can be applied to City of Red Deer courses and passes only and each individual can access one registered program or one facility pass per registration season (winter; spring/summer; and fall). Participants must re-apply each year.
Applying for Funding Contact the Recreation Centre, 403-309-8411 or the Collicutt Centre, 403-358-7529 and book an appointment for a short, informal interview, for yourself or on behalf of someone else, at which time the needs of the participants are discussed and a brief financial background is requested.
