Billing Concerns

The City of Red Deer works hard to ensure the accuracy of the information on your utility bill—please help us do this by carefully reviewing your bill. Check to ensure:

  • Your customer information is correct including your name and service address.
  • The correct services are listed on the back of your utility bill under the "Utilities Details" section.

If you find an error on your bill

Contact the Utility Billing Service Centre at 403-342-8203, or by e-mail at utilities@reddeer.ca to report any inaccuracies on your bill.

If your bill seems too high

1.       Review the Utilities Detail section of your bill and ensure the correct services are listed. Report any errors to the Utility Billing Service Centre.

2.       If your water usage (consumption) seems too high:

  • Check to ensure that the meter reading located on the meter inside your house matches the meter reading on your remote device located on the exterior of your house. Report any differences to the Utility Billing Service Centre.
  •  Watch for leaky faucets and running toilets. Faulty plumbing can wreak havoc on your utility bill.
