(Red Deer, Alberta) – During the month of May, Inspections & Licensing issued a total of 397 building permits. This number includes 366 residential permits issued for a total of $19.3 million. In addition, sixteen commercial permits valued at $7.2 million were also issued, along with 13 industrial permits totaling $33.3 million and two public permits valued at $1 million. Overall, permit values for 2007 are $37.6 million higher than those for the same period in 2006.
Highlights for the month of May include the Sears development at Bower Mall which is valued at $6.3 million and industrial development of $33.3 million which includes a large portion of The City’s new Public Works buildings.
