Mayors Garden Party June 27 in City Hall Park

(Red Deer, Alberta) – Citizens 55 years of age and older are invited to the Mayor’s Garden Party, Wednesday, June 27 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in City Hall Park.

The Garden Party is an invitation to join Mayor Morris Flewwelling for an afternoon of entertainment and refreshments. The afternoon will feature visual artists and hosts and hostesses dressed in Edwardian costume.

Entertainer Bob Shortt will offer up a blend of Irish, Scottish, Maritime and Canadian songs. The Carl Stretton duo will perform their popular jazz sounds, and musician Ron Halliday will delight the crowd with the range of musical instruments he plays.

Parking along Ross Street from 48 to 49 Avenue will be limited.

In the event of poor weather, festivities will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion, 2810 Bremner Avenue.
