Open house for Northland Drive functional design

April 16, 2008

(Red Deer, Alberta) – An open house and public meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 22 to discuss the proposed functional design of Northland Drive/20 Avenue as a future ring road around the north, east and south sides of the city. 

        Date:         Tuesday, April 22 

        Time:         4 p.m. to 9 p.m. 
                         Displays available for viewing at 4 p.m. 
                         Presentation starting at 7 p.m. 

        Location:    Waskasoo “C” Room – Red Deer Lodge (4311 49 Avenue)

The proposed design is intended to allow for fast travel through and around the east part of the city and it is meant to relieve traffic congestion in other parts of Red Deer.
