(Red Deer, Alberta) - The City of Red Deer is holding an open house today for citizens to provide input into The City’s strategic plan. The process will be discussed and citizens will be provided opportunity for input into priorities for The City of Red Deer.
The open house and focus groups will be held:

Wednesday, April 2, 2008
Time:
5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Presentation and organized focus groups from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Location:
Lookout Room, 2nd Floor, Main Westerner Park building
Identical facilitated 60 minute focus groups will begin at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. and will provide the opportunity for discussion and input into The City’s 2009 – 2012 Strategic Plan. Citizens who are not able to attend a scheduled focus group session will still have other opportunities to provide input at the open house. A light supper will be provided for attendees.
Every three years following municipal elections, work on renewing The City’s strategic plan begins. The plan steers The City along the course communicated to us through citizen consultation and planning, assessment of the current environment and trends along with our purpose of providing excellent service to citizens of Red Deer.
