(Red Deer, Alberta) – The City received feedback from the public about changes to taxi service in Red Deer.
“We have compiled citizen and industry comments on improvements in the way the Taxi Industry is regulated,” said Deb Mann, License Inspector. “These comments will be available for public review on the city website or at the Inspections & Licensing department, from April 1 to April 18. This will give everyone an opportunity to see all of the comments.”
The City will accept additional comments, submitted in writing, on or before 4:30 p.m., Friday, April 18, 2008. Citizens can drop off comments at Inspections & Licensing, third floor of City Hall, at 4914 48 Avenue. Feedback will also be accepted via e-mail at licensing@reddeer.ca.
The Inspections & Licensing department will compile all feedback from the public and gather research from other municipalities. The results will be released later this spring and will form the basis for a public meeting. Once final consultation has occurred administration will go forward with the Taxi Business Bylaw amendments to City Council for approval.
