(Red Deer, Alberta) – The Christmas season is just around the corner and the Collicutt Centre is busy making big plans for a one day Christmas party called Count Down ‘til Christmas.
Each year the Collicutt Centre gets an overwhelming number of requests from businesses, organizations and groups to use the facility to host their Christmas parties. “Each year we end up turning away the majority of groups that request private bookings,” says Barb McKee, Collicutt Centre supervisor. “We have an obligation to our regular drop-in users to keep the facility open and minimize the number of disruptions to public access.”
Count Down ‘til Christmas will offer more groups the chance to book a Christmas party at the Collicutt Centre during the busy holiday season. The event will happen Saturday, November 29 from 5 to 10 p.m. Groups will be treated to a Christmas dinner with all the trimmings, and entertainment from a clown, face painting, balloon art, and of course, a visit from Santa. Numerous activities for all ages are scheduled throughout the day including swimming, skating, Adrenaline Rush bouncer, climbing, and Skyball. The cost for the group Christmas party is $50 per person and children under three years old are free.
“The number of private booking times we have at our facility is small, and each year they fill up very quickly. Our goal is to maximize the use of our facility during the busy Christmas season and I believe the Count Down ‘til Christmas will accomplish this,” says McKee. “This party is a great opportunity for groups to get together and have all of their Christmas party details and activities taken care of by our staff.”
