Transit delays due to icy road conditions
December 5, 2008
9:05 a.m.
(Red Deer, Alberta) – Buses in Red Deer are moving slow this morning due to icy road conditions; transit users should expect significant delays.
Some buses are stalled with significant delays expected on many routes, particularly those in the north end of the city. Routes 2, 4, 8 and 11 are currently affected.
Red Deer Transit thanks patrons for their patience. “We expect to be back on schedule as soon as safely possible but do not expect this to happen until the sun is up and road conditions improve,” said Roger Bouchard, Transit Operations Superintendent.
For more information on bus routes affected please contact the Transit Customer Service Centre at 403-342-8225 or by e-mail at
