City hosts Let's Talk 2008 at Parkland Mall
February 29, 2008
(Red Deer, Alberta) – Citizens who have questions or comments about City projects or who would like to learn about the many programs and services offered by The City are invited to join Mayor Flewwelling and City Councillors on Saturday, March 8 at Parkland Mall for
Let’s Talk
2008.
Staff from 24 City departments and agencies will also be on hand to talk with the public about current projects, plans and initiatives. Let’s Talk is an annual event hosted by The City.
“This year’s
Let’s Talk
will feature many new displays and information,“ said Char Rausch,
Let’s Talk
Coordinator with The City of Red Deer. “There’s a wide variety of City programs, projects and services being showcased. Talk to staff about the G.H. Dawe revitalization project or the 9-1-1 Communication Centre. See demonstrations at the Electric Light and Power display on how much energy is used by common household appliances and hear about how a few small changes can add up to big savings. There will also be an opportunity to see the RCMP’s rollover simulator in action. There’s something to pique everyone’s interest.”
You are invited to pick up an entry form from any City information booth at
Let’s Talk
and visit the many City displays where you can have your entry form stamped. The entry forms can then be entered at the City Council booth for a chance to win a prize.
For a complete list of departments, agencies and a schedule of demonstrations that will be taking place, visit The City of Red Deer’s website at www.reddeer.ca.
Everyone is welcome. Bring your family and join us at
Let’s Talk
2008!
