Public feedback sought for changes to the Taxi Business Bylaw
February 19, 2008
(Red Deer, Alberta) – The City wants to know what changes Red Deer citizens want to see to the Taxi Business Bylaw.
“We want citizens to give us feedback and make suggestions for amendments and improvements to the bylaw. Public and industry feedback will help ensure we meet the needs of all those involved,” said Deb Mann, License Inspector
The City will accept feedback submitted in writing before 4:30 p.m. on Friday, February 29. Citizens can drop off submissions at Inspections & Licensing on the third floor of City Hall at 4914 48 Avenue. Feedback will also be accepted via e-mail at licensing@reddeer.ca.
All submissions will be compiled and available for public review from March 31 to April 15. The licensing section will complete further research and make final recommendations which will be submitted to a committee for a public consultation process. Administration will then go forward to City Council for approval of the proposed Taxi Business Bylaw amendments.
For more information about the review process or Taxi Business Bylaw please contact Inspections & Licensing at 342-8182.
