WinterFest 2008 takes place February 17 at Bower Ponds

(Red Deer, Alberta) – The City of Red Deer invites the community to Bower Ponds on Sunday, February 17, for fun family festivities at WinterFest 2008. This outdoor festival celebrating the magic of winter runs from noon to 4 p.m.

WinterFest features a variety of live performances on the Bower Ponds stage, as well as terrific interactive winter activities including skating, snow shoeing, hayrides, a toboggan hill, jam can curling, boot hockey and the popular Art Sense Booth. A variety of festive foods will be sold on site at the Pavilion and the Cronquist House, and everyone’s favourite, La Cabane à Sucre, will be back with their traditional sweet maple treats.

Admission to WinterFest is free. The festival will not take place if the temperature is below -20 C with the wind chill.
