February Fitness Challenge encourages active living
January 24, 2008
(Red Deer, Alberta) – The February Fitness Challenge begins next month and people of all fitness levels are invited to take part.
The February Fitness Challenge is intended to encourage people to continue with resolutions they’ve made to increase their health and feelings of overall wellness by getting active in 2008. Participants in the challenge are asked to sign up at the Collicutt Centre, G.H. Dawe Centre, Recreation Centre or the Roland Michener Centre. For every 60 minutes of physical activity at any of the four facilities during the month of February, participants are given a draw ballot. Each ballot is placed in a draw for participation prizes.
Businesses in Red Deer are invited to encourage active living by donating prizes to the challenge. Interested donors may contact Chris at 309-2084.
For more information on joining the February Fitness Challenge, call the Collicutt Centre at 358-7529, the G.H. Dawe Centre at 342-8329, the Recreation Centre at 309-8411 or the Michener Centre at 309-2084.
