Red Deer citizens get active at the Collicutt Centre
January 31, 2008
(Red Deer, Alberta) – The Collicutt Centre has more pass holders than ever before with more than 10,000 passes active this January.
“This was a record setting month but more importantly, it shows that people are getting out and being active,” said Barb McKee, Collicutt Centre Supervisor. “We are committed to exceptional customer service that meets the needs of our community, and these numbers demonstrate that we’re moving in the right direction.”
The Collicutt Centre’s active passes peaked at 10,127 this January, an increase of 571 passes from January 2007. McKee says the Collicutt Centre is seeing more people than ever before.
Over the past year, The City’s Recreation, Parks and Culture department reorganized to put more emphasis on community development and bringing services closer to the customer.
“Part of the reorganization means focusing on value and understanding our users’ needs,” said McKee. “Increased pass numbers are a result of our continued commitment to provide meaningful community programs and services. We are definitely seeing the demand in our community for active healthy leisure options.”
