(Red Deer, Alberta) – The canoe/boat launch site and river access at Fort Normandeau is closed for repairs. Work on the site is expected to last for most of the summer.
The following canoe/boat launch sites and river access locations are open for public use:
- River Bend Golf Course
- McKenzie Trail Park
- BMX Park/Great West Adventure Park (Located on Kerry Wood Drive and 57 Street)
- Kiwanis Picnic Area (Great Chief Park)
The public is asked to keep a safe distance from the river while water levels remain high.
