(Red Deer, Alberta) – The annual Mayor’s Garden Party is scheduled for Wednesday, June 25 from 2 to 3:30 pm in City Hall Park.
The Garden Party is an invitation for all citizens to join Mayor Morris Flewwelling for an afternoon of entertainment and refreshments. The afternoon will feature visual artists painting in the midst of the garden, and hosts and hostesses costumed in Victorian garb.
Entertainer Ben Crane will offer up a blend of western Canadian songs, original to traditional tunes, humorous antidotes and tall tales.
Refreshments reminiscent of Victorian garden parties will be served, including biscuits, desserts, coffee, tea and lemonade.
In the event of poor weather, the party will relocate to the Collicutt Centre at 3031 30 Avenue.
Citizens are advised parking along Ross Street between 48 Avenue and 49 Avenue will be limited for the duration of the party.
