More river trails close due to high water levels

June 12, 2008

(Red Deer, Alberta) – Several more trails located along the Red Deer River are closed due to high water levels. Temporary barricades are in place at these locations to keep people a safe distance from the river. Barricades will be removed as trails reopen.

People should use caution near the river, and stay a safe distance from dangerous areas until the river levels return to normal. High river levels are expected for a few more weeks.
