(Red Deer, Alberta) – Monday, June 30 is the deadline to pay 2008 City of Red Deer property taxes.
Tax payments can be made by coming in-person to the City Hall cashiers or dropping payment off in an envelope in the City Hall night depository located on the east side of the building. The deadline for in-person payments at City Hall is Monday, June 30 by 4:30 p.m.
If The City does not receive payment on or before the deadline, the property owner will have to pay a 6 per cent penalty for the outstanding property taxes owing. The penalty is calculated in a lump sum adjustment on July 1. For example, if $2,000 is left unpaid on June 30, a penalty of 6 per cent or $120 would be applied to the account on July 1.
