Youth can enjoy a free day at camp on June 27

(Red Deer, Alberta) – Youth ages eight to 11 are invited to register for a free day of camp at the Collicutt Centre that happens Friday, June 27.

“There is an ever increasing demand for our camps,” says Jay Rodriguez, Collicutt Centre Summer Camp Leader. “Each year we offer youth an opportunity to get active and enjoy one day of camp free of charge to kick off our season.”

There are 70 spaces available for youth ages eight to 11 to register for the free day camp that runs Friday, June 27 from 8:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Registrations are accepted on a first come first serve basis until June 25 at the Collicutt Center or the Recreation Centre.

“This is also a great way to give our summer camp leaders one extra day to get geared up for the summer camp season,” said Rodriguez. “Our leaders work hard to ensure the best possible camp experience for all participants. This free day is a valuable part of the leader’s orientation.”

Collicutt Centre weekly summer camps run from July 2 to August 29. Space is limited, and camps fill up fast.
