Spruce Drive Retaining Wall Rehabilitation Program

May 30, 2008

(Red Deer, Alberta) – Reconstruction of the retaining wall on the west side of Spruce Drive Hill begins Monday, June 2 and is scheduled to last approximately one month.

Temporary traffic disruptions are expected as Public Works crews work with heavy equipment along Spruce Drive.

As part of this project ATCO Gas will relocate and lower two gas mains. The project also includes construction of a new curb and gutter and a new guardrail on the service road.

Efforts will be made to minimize disruptions to motorists and pedestrians. Construction is dependent on weather and work dates may vary. Work is not anticipated on the weekends.

Citizens are asked to stay a safe distance from machinery, to obey construction signs, and to slow down in construction zones. Your patience and cooperation is greatly appreciated.
