(Red Deer, Alberta) – Several trails are closed due to high water levels in the Red Deer River. Trails at the Lion’s Campground, BMX Track, and Kiwanis Park are closed until further notice.
People should use caution near the river, and stay a safe distance from dangerous areas until the river levels return to normal.
Temporary barricades have been put in place in these locations to keep people a safe distance from the river. Spring run-off is expected to cause high river levels for a few more weeks.
