(Red Deer, Alberta) – Residents who live east of 50 Avenue and south of 55 Street are asked to reduce the amount of water they use starting Tuesday while city crews work to repair a water main.
“We need to shut down a large water main while the repair is underway. We are asking residents to refrain from outdoor water use to ensure adequate emergency storage during the repair period,” said Randy Reaman, Environmental Services, Water superintendent.
No outdoor watering is permitted in the following subdivisions from midnight on Monday, October 13 to noon on Friday, October 17.

- Sunnybrook
- Bowers
- South Hill
- Clearview
- Eastview
- Morrisroe
- Anders
- Inglewood
- Rosedale
- Deer Park
- Lancaster
- Vanier Woods
Residents may notice slightly lower than normal water pressure during this period. Residents with automatic sprinkler systems are asked to turn these devices off during the restricted period.
