(Red Deer, Alberta) – City crews are preparing to remove snow in the Priority 1 and 2 downtown area. The snow removal process will begin at 9 p.m. on January 4, 2010. The City asks residents and business located on the Priority 1 and 2 streets to clear any snow from sidewalks in these areas so it can be removed Sunday and possibly Monday night.
Priority 1 and 2 streets are:
- 43 Street
- 45 Street
- 49 Street
- Ross Street
- 55 Street
- 48 Avenue
- 49 Avenue
- Gaetz Avenue
- 51 Avenue
There will be another three night’s snow removal on other streets around the city to get rid of snow that is piled up on medians and boulevards. Motorists are advised to slow down, be patient and use extreme caution when entering a snow removal operation area. Pay attention to directional flashing arrow boards.
