WinterFest at Heritage Ranch on February 15

(Red Deer, Alberta) - The annual City of Red Deer WinterFest celebration will be held at Heritage Ranch on Sunday, February 15.

The event runs from noon to 4 p.m. A free shuttle bus will run from the downtown transit station to the event site every half hour starting at 11:30 a.m.

People of all ages can take part in interactive winter activities including fun winter games, live entertainment, face-painting, hayrides and snowshoeing. A variety of foods will be sold on site at Heritage Ranch, and the Cabane à Sucre will be back with their traditional sweet treats.

The Alberta Sports Hall of Fame and Museum will reduce admission fees to one dollar per person for the afternoon of the event.

Admission to WinterFest is free. The festival will not take place if the temperature drops below -20 degrees Celsius with the wind chill, however Heritage Ranch and the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame and Museum will still be open for business.
