(Red Deer, Alberta) – Representatives from community associations in north Red Deer will host a welcoming ceremony for their new RCMP neighbours on Tuesday, October 6.
The gathering will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. in the new RCMP north building on 67 Street.
The meeting gives people an opportunity to welcome the RCMP into the neighbourhood and connect stakeholders, businesses, and residents in the area while exploring partnership opportunities. Results from the May 2009 North Red Deer Community Enhancement Survey will be presented along with reports related to Crime Prevention & Policing. A plaque dedication will take place to commemorate the newly formed partnership of the north Red Deer community associations and their support of the RCMP in their new location.
All residents living in the Pines, Riverside Meadows, Oriole Park, Highland Green, Glendale, Aspen Heights, Normandeau, Kentwood, Johnstone Park and Johnstone Crossing are invited to attend. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided.
