Election workers needed

(Red Deer, Alberta) – The City of Red Deer is looking for election staff to assist with the 2010 Municipal Election on Monday, October 18, 2010.

“Workers will assist with voting station setup and take down, supervision of voting station staff, voter assistance and accounting assistance as it pertains to their role,” said Frieda McDougall, Deputy Returning Officer for The City of Red Deer.

Training is provided for all positions and the pay varies with each position.

Interested applicants can apply online at www.reddeer.ca or in person at the Election Office, lower level of City Hall on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 and Thursday, September 9, 2010 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Only successful applicants will be contacted.

Municipal elections are held every three years to elect the offices of Mayor (one position), Councillor (eight positions), Public School Trustee (seven positions) and Catholic School Trustee (five positions).
