Fall crime prevention publication available August 12
August 9, 2010
(Red Deer, Alberta) – On August 12, The City will distribute its ninth issue of
Standing Together,
a publication focusing on crime prevention strategies and collaborations that are currently practiced in Red Deer.
Standing Together
will be delivered to almost 24,000 homes in Red Deer with flyers.
The Fall 2010 issue of
Standing Together
contains information and features on the social aspects of crime prevention, and highlights several agencies and programs that are involved in crime prevention through social development.
Standing Together
is distributed twice each year with the spring and fall Community Services Activity & Program Guides. Each issue of
Standing Together
incorporates new crime prevention information specific to Red Deer.
While the current issue focuses on the social side of crime prevention, previous issues have contained information on crime prevention practices and programs that are active in Red Deer, tips and strategies for citizens, and content specific to Red Deer City RCMP. Each edition also highlights a community organization that actively contributes to crime prevention.
If residents don’t receive
Standing Together
with their flyers, they may pick one up after August 12 at City Hall on the first floor, Community Services at 4817 48 Street, the G.H. Dawe, Recreation and Collicutt Centres, RCMP stations, or at the Community Information and Referral Society (CiRS). This and previous issues of
Standing Together
are also available online at
