Starting today, you can nominate a coach, official, volunteer, athlete or business supporter to be recognized at Red Deer’s Community Sport Banquet on Saturday, February 26, 2011.
Submitting your nomination is as easy as ABC. For the very first time, nominations can be submitted electronically. These submissions will go directly to the Sport Council of Red Deer for their selection committee to evaluate.
“These awards are a great opportunity to recognize the entire sports community,” said Rob Meckling, Community and Program Facilitator with The City of Red Deer. “Individuals will be recognized for their athletic achievement and success, and individuals or businesses that make significant contributions in the area of sport will also be acknowledged.”
The 2011 Red Deer Community Sport Awards will take place on Saturday, February 26, 2011, at the Capri Hotel and Convention Centre.
Nominations open today, December 1, and the public is encouraged to apply online at www.reddeer.ca.
