(Red Deer, Alberta) – The City of Red Deer Winter Activity & Program Guide was distributed December 17, 2009, and it’s not too late to register for many of the programs. The activity guide contains a wide variety of programs and opportunities for residents to get active and healthy in 2010.
“Currently, there are still many great opportunities to register for programs and activities for young and old,” says Deb Comfort, Neighbourhood Facilities and Community Development Supervisor. “Opportunities include private swim lessons, fitness programs, pre-school and school age programs as well as climbing and cultural programs.”
The activity guide contains recreation, culture and community programs, events and opportunities offered by a variety of community organizations and businesses, as well as City programs.
“It’s one-stop shopping, providing individuals and families with many choices for fun, personal development, and trying new challenges,” says Comfort. “Getting active or learning a new skill is always a great way to start off a new year.”
