(Red Deer, Alberta) – The City of Red Deer, together with ISL Engineering, is hosting an Open House to get public feedback on the Gaetz Avenue Revitalization Project – an initiative to help create a welcoming, vibrant public space in the heart of downtown Red Deer.
The revitalization being presented at the Open House contains design elements that are intended to develop a safe, pedestrian-friendly streetscape with a strong sense of place to enhance downtown. This design incorporates elements to attract residents and visitors during the days and evening through all seasons.
The design process has involved consultation with Gaetz Avenue business owners and other stakeholders. Now, Red Deerians will have an opportunity to review the design concept, ask questions, and provide their feedback into the future of Gaetz Avenue at the public Open House.
Date: August 4, 2010 Time: Drop in between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Location: The Scott Block 4816 50 Avenue Red Deer, AB
